Arden Hegele has written two books: Romantic Autopsy, a history of nineteenth-century medicine and poetry, and Culture and Medicine, a collection of essays on health, illness, and the arts.

Her newest work is a forthcoming biography of Lord Byron.

She has written many non-fiction essays, and she enjoys reading and reviewing different kinds of books.

Arden Hegele teaches at Columbia University in New York City.
